FIRST

COLLABORATE 11 is teaming up with FIRST, a national not-for-profit organization founded by inventor and technology leader Dean Kamen that inspires young people to be science and technology leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills. By making a donation on the COLLABORATE 11 registration form, you will be helping FIRST continue its mission of motivating tomorrow’s leaders pursue science and technology excellence today.

Clean the World

The host hotels of COLLABORATE 11 participate in Clean the World, a not-for-profit organization that collects and recycles soap and shampoo products discarded by the hospitality industry. Through the distribution of these and other donated hygiene products to impoverished people, Clean the World prevents millions of deaths caused by hygiene-related illnesses every day. No action is requested of COLLABORATE attendees; your conference hotel’s housekeeping attendants will automatically collect and process the products for donation. Simply by attending COLLABORATE and staying in a conference hotel, you’re helping to save lives in Haiti, Bosnia, Ethiopia, the United States and over 30 other countries.
