"The IOUG Bootcamps were amazing…The presenters attended each others’ sessions, which helped to build a full-day of knowledge-sharing. The highlight was the panel discussion at the end of the Bootcamp. These were SIG-style sessions, and the panel was very knowledgeable and generous with their responses to the questions and concerns."

Security (Tuesday and Wednesday)
Bootcamp Manager: Michelle Malcher
Audits, access and firewalls, oh my! Securing the Oracle systems is not just about creating logins and checking for permissions anymore. There is auditing and restricting access to privileged users and knowing what data to encrypt. Prevention of even gaining access to the database environment may be a challenge, but then we have to report and consistently monitor and maintain this access. This Bootcamp will look at securing the environment, protecting the data through encryption and access, as well as security patching and keeping up with the options and tools available to ensure an environment is secure.
